The mezzosoprano Karina Repova was born in 1994 in Latvia. After starting her vocal education with Raphael Schwarzer she joined the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin as a Junior Scholar. From April 2013 Karina Repova studied Singing/Musical Theatre at the University of Arts Berlin in the class of Prof. Albert Pesendorfer, where she earned her master’s degree in autumn 2018.

As a laureate of the International Singing Competition 2014 of the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg she debuted in the course of the summer festival as 3. Dame in Mozarts “The Magic Flute”.

In 2015 Karina Repova was engaged as 3. Flower Maiden in the children’s opera version of “Parsifal” at the Bayreuther Festspiele. In the same year she was awarded with the youth prize of the VI. International Singing Competition Grandi Voci in Salzburg.

In addition to her work as an opera singer Karina Repova also loves to perform concert and Lied repertoire, which led her to several renowned concert halls such as the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Berlin Philharmonie as well as festivals for contemporary music, for instance the XXII. Zepernicker Randfestspiele, the Klangwerkstatt Berlin and the Mozartfest Würzburg. A highlight was the world premiere of "Drei Gedichte nach Nelly Sachs" by Wolfgang Rihm, which she performed with the pianist Prof. Axel Bauni at the Freie Akademie der Künste in Hamburg.

In summer 2016 Karina Repova made her debut at the renowned festival "Rossini in Wildbad" as Gualtiero in the world premiere of the opera "Il Conte di Marsico" by G. Balducci and as Isolier in Rossinis "Le Comte Ory". For her performances she was awarded with the "International BelCanto Prize".

Her achievements in Bad Wildbad were followed by various engagements at the Staatsoper Hamburg in 2017 as 2. Dame in an alternative version of Mozarts "Die Zauberflöte" by Johannes Harneit. Staged by the artistic director Georges Delnon and conducted by Kent Nagano, this production went on tour to the Shanghai Grand Theatre. Thereupon she got reinvolved as a cover for Achim Freyers new production of "Parsifal" as a Flower Maiden. After her debut as Knusperhexe in Humperdincks "Hänsel und Gretel"  at the Junge Oper Schloss Weikersheim under the baton of Patrick Lange, Karina Repova returned to the Staatsoper Hamburg to perform the world premiere of "Das Floß".

For her master’s degree in autumn 2018 she interpreted the role of Concepcion in Ravels "L'heure espagnole" in a staging by Frank Hilbrich.

During the seasons 2018/19 and 2019/20 Karina Repova was a member of the opera studio at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, where she debuted as Blumenfrau (Die Schneekönigin), Sandmännchen (Hänsel und Gretel), Anna Kennedy (Maria Stuarda), Annina/Flora (La Traviata), Zelda (Der Geisterritter), La Chatte/L'Écureuil (L'enfant et les sortilèges) and Page (Salome) and participated in several masterclasses with Barbara Frittoli, Marius Vlad, Linda Watson and Thomas Allen.

Furthermore Karina Repova was guesting in 2019 in "Der Goldene Drache" (P. Eötvös) at the Semperoper Dresden.

With beginning of the season 2020/21 she is a member of the ensemble at Theater Magdeburg, where she will debut in important roles of her fach, like Stéphano, Mirabella, Maddalena, Hänsel a.o.
